About Jakks’ Big Broadcast

A Christmas story about radio, rock and roll, creative sparks, and the weird little ideas that refuse to go away.

Jakks’ Big Broadcast didn’t come out of nowhere. These characters have been rattling around in my head for years, showing up in different forms, different story ideas, different sketchbooks, and different “maybe this is finally the way to do it” moments.

For a long time, I knew there was something there. I just hadn’t found the right shape for it.

Then the book idea clicked.

And when it clicked, it pulled together a lot of the things I love most: radio, rock and roll, illustration, writing, Christmas, character design, and that strange little creative space where all of those things can somehow live together without apologizing for it.

That became Jakks’ Big Broadcast.
